Essentials of Human Genetics

The book, “Essentials of Human Genetics” is designed for the Medical, Dental and all other paramedical students. As per the Medical Council of India curriculum, the MBBS Phase I has been reduced to one year from one and half years. Because the subject 'Human Genetics' is very vast and has become a separate branch in the field of science, it is difficult to read from the examination point of view. Over and above, the duration given, for learning Human Genetics, for undergraduate medical and other related courses, is very limited. Therefore, keeping in mind, the undergraduates and postgraduate students, this book has been brought out. Students will find most of the information in one book itself. Dr. Roopa Kulkarni Has completed her medical graduation in 1976 at Mahadevappa Rampure Medical College, Gulbarga and postgraduation in Anatomy (M.S. Anatomy) in 1981, at Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Sewagram. She is into the field of teaching Anatomy since 1978. She has worked in various capacities in the Department of Anatomy, M.S. Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore since 1982 and presently working as Senior Professor and Head of the Department of Anatomy, M.S.Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore. She has published scientific papers in national and international journals. She has a very vast experience in teaching various branches of Anatomy. Dr. R.N. Kulkarni Is a Professor and Head of the Department of Anatomy Management Science University, International Medical School, M.S. Ramaiah Medical College and Teaching Hospital Campus, Bangalore. Teaching Anatomy by Dissection method is his passion. He has served in the Department of Anatomy, M.S. Ramaiah Medical College, and Bangalore in various capacities from 1982 to 2006. He completed his MBBS at Mahadevappa Rampure Medical College, Gulbarga in 1973 and M.S. (Anatomy) at Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Sewagram in 1980.
