She has done her BSc Nursing from AFMC Nursing college, Pune; MSc Nursing (community health nursing) from Rajiv Gandhi university of health sciences, Karnataka and PGDHHM from Indra Gandhi Open University, Delhi. She was awarded best teacher by Lions Club in year 2005. In 2007 TNAI awarded her with Principal Excellence award. In 2011, the International Institute of Education & Management gave her Glory of education excellence award.
