Genesis of this Illustrated Nurses Dictionary is Mr. Pawaninder Pal Vij, who is the initiator and motivator to me to draw my experience of about 30 years of association in teaching nursing profession along with Medical profession. Book has very many illustrations that tell the concept, meaning and explanation to routine nursing procedures. Very useful material is presented in Appendix that is preferable to daily Nursing Task. Publisher has made a venture to put across the Nursing requirements to Nursing Staff and Nursing Students across the country. Publisher wishes that Nursing Fraternity can hold required Nursing word from this Illustrated Nurses Dictionary. G.N. Prabhakara is an Associate Dean, Professor and HOD Community Medicine, Professor and HOD Medical Education Department, Head Medical Art, Photography and Modelling at SDM College of Medical Sciences and Hospital at Dharwad. He has over 34 years of teaching experience in teaching Doctors, Nurses, Medical Officers, Child Development Officers, Para Medical Workers, Home Science UGs and PGs, Public Health Engineering PGs and District Health Authorities. He has served Central Government Medical Colleges till 1974 and later in Karnataka State Government Medical Colleges till February 2004. Now he is at SDM College of Medical Sciences and Hospital, Dharwad since March 2004. He has published 56 scientific papers in Medical journals and has authored over dozens of Textbooks excluding some National Documents. He has served as Member of Curriculum Planning Member and Member of Board of Studies in State Health University.
